Ferret adrenal disease
FERRET ADRENAL DISEASE orAdrenal Adenoma is a serious condition affecting ferrets from 1
to 7 years with the most common occurances from 3 to 5 years. The symptoms vary with the most
common being hairloss. Hairloss will begin at the tailand move forward over the body. Often,in
spayed females the vulva will swell and may have awatery discharge.Other symptoms may
include ; increased scratching,drinking,and urination, weight loss may also be evident.
IF LEFT UNTREATED ADRENAL DISEASE WILL RESULT IN DEATH!!! If your ferret is
exhibiting these symptoms (the most important being hairloss) Please take them to your
vet,Adrenal Disease can be treated provided it is caught in time.
